ENG 253 The Bible As Literature
This course introduces the Hebrew Old Testament and the Christian New Testament as works of literary art. Emphasis is placed on the Bible's literary aspects including history, composition, structure, and cultural contexts. Upon completion, students should be able to identify and analyze selected books and passages using appropriate literary conventions. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
