HIS 237 The American Revolution

This course introduces the political, socioeconomic, religious, and ideological forces that led to the American Revolution, and the courses and consequences of the conflict. Topics include the prewar situation, wartime internal dynamics, international diplomacy, military strategy, tactics, and campaigns, and the Revolution?s impact, aftermath, and consequences. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, religious, ideological, international, and military developments in the United States during the Revolutionary Era. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
