Accreditation Information

Bladen Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Bladen Community College is an accredited member of the North Carolina Community College System and all programs offered by the College have been approved by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges.

Program Accreditations

Emergency Medical Services – Paramedic
The college's Emergency Medical Services – Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions. Nursing
The college's Associate Degree in Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, 3390 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326. Phone 404-975-5000 or fax 404-975-5020.

Program Approvals 

The following programs have been reviewed by and met the standards for approval of the organizations/agencies indicated:

  • Basic Law Enforcement Training—North Carolina Department of Justice.
  • Cosmetology—Licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners
  • Distance Education—National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement
  • Emergency Medical Technology—North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services
  • Nursing—North Carolina Board of Nursing 
  • Nurse Aide I—North Carolina Division for Facilities Services 
  • Phlebotomy—National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences
  • Programs for Veterans—North Carolina State Approving Agency (NCSAA) for Veterans and Military Education
